Several weeks ago, I got to go take some pictures at an old farmhouse north of town. A family bought this old, old farmhouse and is rehabbing the entire thing, and my mother is doing some custom stained glass work for them.

They went out to install the first piece, and I went along with camera in tow. Abby, of course, came along as well.

The family has a dog, so of course my attention turned to her. I can’t remember her name, so I call her FarmDog. Here are just a few of the shots from that day. More to come…

My cat Blue has some quirks, as pretty much all cats do, I suspect. And she doesn’t get near enough blog time, so here’s a look at two of her quirks in action.

Does anyone else’s cat drink like this?

Any new surface that is put down in her part of the house, she has to walk on it, lie on it, sleep on it. Clean laundry piles, clothes I’m laying out to wear, plastic sacks … anything different from what’s already there.

The scratchy wool blanket and tarp protecting the new bathtub in the construction zone is no exception. I catch her sleeping in here a lot.

And while I’m STILL waiting for FedEx to deliver a client’s book that was supposed to be here YESTERDAY, Kyla and I played around with Mr. Christmas Bobo. Alas, this is the only image that halfway turned out.

Now one wall is mostly done.

So I know there haven’t been many client photos around here lately, and the ones you have seen are quick sneaks. That’s because they are all surprise Christmas gifts, so I won’t be able to post them till after the Holiday. Bummer.

But, here’s what the project was this weekend. The bathroom. The mess.

Don’t you love the sky-blue flooring on the right that was under the tile? And the cream-colored flooring under that? What were they thinking?
