Comes with the breed…

These nails.

Such long, husky nails.

But if she’s ever in Alaska, or Antarctica…

She’s pulling that sled, gripping that ice.

Ice Flair

We all love sun flair, but how about when the sun is reflecting off the ice and snow?

This is what it looked like in front of our french doors last week when it was icy. You almost needed sunglasses inside the kitchen it was so bright.

I like the ice flair in the image, and how Kyla’s eye is still clear, and the fact that she’s actually looking at the camera. That’s rare when she’s in this position, which is a lot. She’s pretty lazy.

I know Kyla has been dominating the blog lately, but clients are slow for me now. Not that I mind. Hopefully when the weather gets better I will concentrate on attaining more business.

In the meantime, I hope Kyla and my random ramblings are enough to keep you coming back!

100th Post!

We’ve reached a landmark here at this little blog – 100 posts. Doesn’t seem possible. I really appreciate all you internet friends out there who tune in and send us great comments.

So, what, pray tell, are we sharing today for the 100th time? How about a little Crazy Kyla in the ice?

Being part Siberian Husky, she loves the cold weather and just comes alive in the snow and ice. I wish I had a video recorder, but for now, we’ll settle for stills of her sillyness.

Note her ice-clutching nails. Husky nails are meant to be longer than other breeds so they can grip that ice on the arctic terrain and pull that sled.

Kyla would so pull that sled. She’s a natural.

Here she is chewing on the frozen tennis ball.

And here she darts back and forth in all directions, playing cat and mouse with the tennis ball, before completing her zoom around the yard.
