You may remember the post on my appearance on Channel 9 here in Oklahoma, or maybe you saw us! As promised, below are the shots I took that day pretending to shoot Kyla and Abby in a “session.” I paid no attention to settings or focus most of the time. It was all a sham for the camera.
These are straight out of the camera – no processing at all. Some actually turned out good – some, not so much.
And some just make me laugh. Enjoy!
[gallery columns="4" orderby="post_name"]Today was all about the press. We had Channel 9 over this morning for a story on The Rescued and my photography, and this afternoon I headed over to the Oklahoman to be a guest on the Petshow Podcast.

I had the opportunity to photograph Bella and Enzo, a co-worker’s dogs, last year as part of my The Rescued project, now book. I only needed a few images of them at the time so I didn’t spend as much time post processing them all until now. Looking back through them, I found some that I thought were mistakes then, but I love them now for some reason.
Charla, here are just some of them. Hope you love them.
Today is not only April Fool’s Day, but it’s Abby’s Day, too. Abby is my mom and dad’s golden. She is 3 today. In honor of cute little Abby, here’s a little video of some of her cutest photos. Some with her best bud, Kyla, too. (there is audio, so turn up your speakers!)

Several weeks ago, I got to go take some pictures at an old farmhouse north of town. A family bought this old, old farmhouse and is rehabbing the entire thing, and my mother is doing some custom stained glass work for them.
They went out to install the first piece, and I went along with camera in tow. Abby, of course, came along as well.
The family has a dog, so of course my attention turned to her. I can’t remember her name, so I call her FarmDog. Here are just a few of the shots from that day. More to come…

Just back from the Edmond Book Fair, and we sold some books! It was great exposure for the Shelter, Paws for Life, and my photography, too.
Abby stopped by and became the mascot for all shelter dogs, graciously and excitedly greeting everyone who stopped by.
My mom stopped by and snapped a photo of our table. Mary Robertson, head of Paws for Life holds up a The Rescued book for the camera.
It’s Doggie Day Care tonight at my house. The parents are at the Oklahoma City Thunder game, so Abby is here for a visit.
I had to get out the camera and try for some low light shots. They are so funny together.
I think of these as organic – a little grainy, not-so-perfect, but then again, perfect. Because they capture the two girls as they are together.

Don’t worry, Abby wasn’t hurt in the capturing of this image. Kyla tends to play a little mouthy, Abby doesn’t seem to mind most of the time. Kyla, you look so wild!
