Kili | Koa

That’s handsome Koa on the left. Graceful Kili on the right. Well, ok, so she wasn’t all grace in this first shot.

I always love it when the humans get involved in the shoot. They had to show me all the activities the dogs loved to do – and boy did they love them all.

Every time Kili caught the ball she would run over to me as if to say, “Look what I got!”

IMGP3754

“Want to go in the car?” “Are you in the car?”

Synchronized head tilts courtesy of the word, “car.” We were saying it over and over and they kept tilting together. We were laughing so hard I could barely hold up the camera.

This is one of those moments I regret not having the flip to capture the movement. Grrr.

Hate that my car is in the background, but this ear silhouette opp just showed up in a split second as we were walking to another location.

Boy can catch some air!

IMGP3922

Umm, is that a tongue or a hunk of liver in your mouth, Koa?

Grace, Layla and Mo

Get ready for a huge post full of cuteness.

Grace (great dane puppy), Mo (pug) and Layla (rat terrier) live in Norman and definitely worked the camera.

How can you look at this puppy face and not die from the cuteness?

And spunky Mo, he was the best at turning on his model within.

imgp2221

Little Layla was especially shy, though. She only allowed me a few shots from afar. But she’s working it while she’s running away!

Puppy dane wrinkles – I have a feeling she’ll grow into her skin with a vengeance!

Grace loves her crate. She reminds me a lot of my Kyla.

We ventured out to Campus Corner – the infamous shopping, eating, hanging out destination around the OU campus.

Mo’s leash was in Grace’s mouth a lot of the time. So cute.

Mo’s last strike-a-pose shot – he worked this blue wall for me for a good 5 minutes.

Thanks, Jen for a fun evening! And Grace told me she wants to come visit soon!

News Bloopers

You may remember the post on my appearance on Channel 9 here in Oklahoma, or maybe you saw us! As promised, below are the shots I took that day pretending to shoot Kyla and Abby in a “session.”  I paid no attention to settings or focus most of the time. It was all a sham for the camera.

These are straight out of the camera – no processing at all. Some actually turned out good – some, not so much.

And some just make me laugh. Enjoy!

FarmDog

Several weeks ago, I got to go take some pictures at an old farmhouse north of town. A family bought this old, old farmhouse and is rehabbing the entire thing, and my mother is doing some custom stained glass work for them.

They went out to install the first piece, and I went along with camera in tow. Abby, of course, came along as well.

The family has a dog, so of course my attention turned to her. I can’t remember her name, so I call her FarmDog. Here are just a few of the shots from that day. More to come…

Mid-yawn shots: gotta love’em.

I know this one is totally blown out, but I love it anyway.

The garage (note the open land beyond…a rarity these days).

Who’s in that truck, FarmDog?

The Strip

Kyla and I were playing with the new camera one afternoon. I just set it on continuous focus, burst firing, held out the camera, pushed the button and held it there for several minutes. If you have those settings on your camera I highly recommend doing this. When you scroll through the images, it ends up looking like a movie. Very cool.

These are some of the keepers we got, I thought they looked cute in a filmstrip look.

Not to mention…

Also got the new camera with a new wide-angle lens, which I have been wanting for a while.

18-55 mm. Love it.

I couldn’t get shots like this before the wide-angle. It’s her, “I need you to touch me so I feel secure” look.
