Melissa has always been 100% crazy about dogs, and photography has
been a big part of her life, as well. Finding a way to link the two as been
very fun, challenging and rewarding. Melissa grew up with dogs in her
family and believes they serve a very special and important role.
Although Melissa also enjoys working with humans, dog photography
has stolen her heart. Putting into practice what she has learned from
other kinds of photography has given her fresh insight to photographing
the family pet. Capturing those special moments between a dog and her human -
conveying a feeling – is what Melissa is most passionate about.
Melissa’s work and efforts with various rescue organizations has been featured
in The Edmond Sun, The Oklahoman, and on various television news programs.
She is sharing her Edmond home with Kyla, a rescued Siberian Husky mix,
who continues to offer endless modeling opportunities in front of Melissa’s
camera as she warms her heart more each and every day.
