Road to Recovery

Kyla and I thank all those who have wished her well. She is on the slow road to recovery and doing a little better each day. It breaks my heart to look at her and know what she went through. I can’t get the images from the attack out of my mind, it was like slow motion and there was nothing I could do.

I beg of all dog owners, no matter what the breed, no matter how sweet and friendly your dog is, please be aware of where your dogs are and keep them on a leash when outside. You never know when something like this might happen.

Here’s a photo of Kyla resting on her bankie. She’s wearing a t-shirt to help with the dripping drains.

Angie W - Poor baby, get better soon Kyla!

Grace - Poor sweet girl. Hope she has a speedy recovery. Sending her lots of love and positive thoughts.

Rachel - I just read the previous post and I am so sorry this happened to you and Kyla. That must have been so scary when the pitbull wouldn't stop for so many minutes. This kind of thing makes me so mad! Dogs can't be out running free no matter what the breed. Our neighbor's cat was killed last year by a roaming dog in the neighborhood. I'll be thinking of you guys!

claire - that just breaks my heart. give her lots of kisses from everyone!!

Lauri McMartin - Melissa, it saddens me to hear about Kyla's incident. I am so glad to hear that she is healing well. I can only imagine what both of you went through. With Prayer, Lauri

Gin - Hope you're feeling better soon Kyla! Nola sends lots of doggy kisses... she's been there too. HUGS from us both!
