Going shopping, you say?
Today? Black Friday?
Are you crazy?
Nah …
I’ll stay right here.

A trip to Petsmart.
A browse through the toys.
She tests several.
She decides. She grabs.
She carries it proudly to the checkout counter.

Below is one of those happy mistakes I sometimes get.
I just like it for some reason.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Mama and Zeplynn are best buds. I have met some dogs with some unusual names before, but these were the best. Mama is the brindle pit, and Zeplynn you’ve already met.

These images make me laugh. Mama’s expression here is classic.

Since no one had a guess on this girl’s name …
Zeplynn.
Beautiful name for a beautiful girl. And here are a few more shots from her session.

[ Ok so no one has guessed yet, this was at the bottom so maybe no one saw it:
This beautiful girl has the same name as a popular rock band. Any guesses? ]
This sweet girl brought an opportunity to combine my two worlds of dog photography and vet tech training. She was a little shy and wasn’t sure about being near me and my camera at first.
Here’s a little tip for helping shy dogs come out of their shell a little for the camera: If you can sit down on her level, not facing toward her but to the side, hold out or even throw treats in her direction, she may warm up to you. I did this for several minutes before I even brought out my camera.
This isn’t always the case of course, but it’s a great way to start. It worked wonders at this session.
A massage doesn’t hurt, either.

Love her spotted belly.

Every day we engage in the pillow fight.
She sneaks up on the bright white pillowsham when I’m not in the room. And leaps off at the first sound I make coming home.
But I know she’s been there. The big kittie-shaped dent in the pillow is a tell-tale sign.

This little guy is causing quite the stir! As promised, here are a few more glimpses of Hoss.
Yep. That’s his name. Hoss. Ain’t it great?

This little nipper is the youngest one I’ve photographed. Can you handle the cuteness?
