Reminder: I will be out Thursday 8/28 through Tuesday 9/2 at the OCCC Art Festival in Oklahoma City – so I won’t be posting during that time.
Here’s a taste of my fine art that I will have displayed. Enjoy!

It’s 6pm. Time for dinner.
Hurry up, mom.
Seriously. Put the camera down and scoop up me some grub.

After this shot was taken a long thin line of drool formed from her mouth to the floor. I’ve spared you that moment, mostly because I couldn’t get a good shot of it. She was just too hungry to stay in one place.
Side note: Kyla and I just got back from our daily walk, and we were negatively approached for the third or fourth time by a couple of neighborhood dogs. Luckily I had my vinegar spray. I highly suggest you take some with you when walking your dogs if you don’t already. I’ve never felt quite so helpless when a large, or even a smaller dog is barking and biting in my dog’s face. There really is nothing you can do to stop it short of getting hurt yourself.
And to the careless neighbors who leave their dogs unattended and free to roam the street, please think of others and close your gate, leash your dogs, and don’t let them run around free.
Even if they are the greatest dogs in the world around you and even other people. You never know what the wolf inside will do in a given situation.
I just like these images of Kyla. So thought I would share.

These three were so fun to work with. The relationship between them was so unique. I captured a few shots that exhibit that, I think.
Phoenix – 15 year-old Golden
Sam – 6 year-old Scottie/Terrier
Hallie – 1 year-old Chihuahua

Newton: Spotted Catahoula mix
Cody: Husky
Xoe: Weimaraner
Lady: Black Lab mix
The four of them. All rescued. By a wonderful family. Will be featured in my upcoming book, The Rescued.

I thought I would share some images of Snickers today. She is a feisty little dachshund I photographed several months ago, and she is definitely a daddy’s girl. She was great in front of the camera, every dog photographer’s dream.
On a personal note, I start Vet Tech school this week, so things will slow down for me in the dog photography world, but I still plan on taking clients while in school, so I will try to post as often as I can.
I will also be out August 28 through September 3 or so, as I am participating in the Arts Festival Oklahoma at OCCC in Oklahoma City. Any locals out there stop by and see us!

Black & Whites look great in black & white.

Abby and Kyla [friends]
Hang out with ‘em.
Wrestle around with ‘em.
Bite each other’s ears.
Watch for squirrels together.

Happy Birthday, Mom.
Here’s a big ole kiss from your fur-baby, Abby.

It’s nice to be noticed. Thanks to crazyandlittle.blogspot.com for listing me in your fave blogs list!
