Where did it go?

Yesterday evening Kyla and I were enjoying the unusually not-so-hot weather and she, as always, found something to munch on. She’s part billygoat, you see.

These images document the time she lost what she was chewing on. She went back and forth for at least a minute looking for it. So cute.

On a side note, I’d like to get to know who my readers are, so I’ve created a short survey, if you wouldn’t mind skipping over to this site to answer them, I’d be so happy!

What a face.

Doesn’t Dan have a great face?

I love how his loose lip is hung on his tooth in the image on the right. I’ve never seen such loose lips on a dog.

It’s been a while…

I know, I know. I haven’t been posting much lately. But I’m back today.

With some cute shots of Kyla cooling down after sunning in the 100 degree heat.

Being part husky, her ears don’t fully stand up, but they have enough tension in them to stand up when she’s laying down. They are so pink inside. Love them.

And I love her look on the right. She’s looking up at me like she’s saying, “Just leave me alone already.”

The Back-end Shots [edited]

[edited] I’ve decided to edit the name of this post due to my stats revealing some risque search terms finding this post! So let’s go with “back-end” shall we?

Time for a silly post. Most of the time at shoots I end up with back-end shots.

Whether I’m looking for them or not.

These are just a few of my favorite.

So, did your dog’s back-end make the list?

New Adventures

Little bit of news to share. I have been accepted to Vet Tech school!

It’s always been in the back of my mind as the career for me, but I have been putting it off and you can only apply once a year. So this year I just did it, not really thinking I would get in. But I did.

So I start the week of August 18. I still plan on continuing my dog photography, it just may scale back a little while I’m in class.

New adventures. Gotta love ‘em.

And of course I can’t post without an image, so here’s another one from Dan’s session.

In the moment

I took my camera out to get some little shots of some flowers in the yard.

I guess Kyla was wanting some camera time; it soon became all about her.

The flower shots didn’t turn out too great. Gotta live in the moment and capture what’s in front of you.

The little dog behind our house gets Kyla’s attention quite a bit. She whines because she wants to play with her so much!

Where’d ya go?

How can you not love this face?

Little details. Love her “fringe.”

Ready for fall.

It’s so hot here in Oklahoma. I think it will be around 95 today and probably 110% humidity, if that’s possible. On a day like today, it sure would be nice to soak your feet in some cold H2O like Dan the english setter.

A Total Guess

Still playing with the 50 f/1.4 lens. Kyla was lounging in the office with me as I worked so I thought I’d try getting some shots of her.

She jumps up and comes over to me when I try to get to her level though.

So, I just stayed sitting in my chair, rolled over by her and held the camera down in front of her.

Not knowing what I was focusing on exactly, I started shooting. I love these. There were others that sort of came out but these hit the “nose” square. I love the first one so much I may put in in my blog header. What do you think?

These were shot at f/1.4 and 1/10s at ISO 200 in tungsten light.
