Some of my favorite spreads from Baxter and JoJo’s book.
First up: the back and front cover.
Yes, that’s a dress that little JoJo is wearing. Too cute for words.

That’s handsome Koa on the left. Graceful Kili on the right. Well, ok, so she wasn’t all grace in this first shot.

I always love it when the humans get involved in the shoot. They had to show me all the activities the dogs loved to do – and boy did they love them all.

Every time Kili caught the ball she would run over to me as if to say, “Look what I got!”

“Want to go in the car?” “Are you in the car?”
Synchronized head tilts courtesy of the word, “car.” We were saying it over and over and they kept tilting together. We were laughing so hard I could barely hold up the camera.
This is one of those moments I regret not having the flip to capture the movement. Grrr.

Hate that my car is in the background, but this ear silhouette opp just showed up in a split second as we were walking to another location.

Boy can catch some air!

Umm, is that a tongue or a hunk of liver in your mouth, Koa?

Thanks, Toby and Kris, for an awesome experience!

This lively bunch definitely kept me on my toes this weekend. They won a free session through the Free to Live auction a while back.
Yes, that loud snorting you hear is the feisty yet dainty pug, Chloe. It literally did not stop the entire session!
Can you say froggie costume and pink tutus? More to come later…

Finally, here is more of Rusty and Kalie. This first one makes me laugh every time I see it.
Kalie has an unusual habit of chewing on Rusty’s whiskers. And Rusty just lets her.
The look in his eyes is like, “C’mon, how long do I have to sit through this?”

Rusty is ill but you would never know it if it weren’t for the tell-tale shaved places on his legs and the tiredness after playing. He has renal failure.
Could have fooled me, he gave Kalie a run for her money.

Here’s a special sneak peek of a special dog.
Rusty is ill, but I would have never guessed.
He wasn’t sure of me at first, but after, oh about 5 seconds, he wouldn’t leave my side half the time.
The other half he was chillin with his mom with whom he has an incredible bond, or was playing and hanging out with his little “sister” Kalie. More of Rusty and Kalie to come soon.

Thank you, Kym for letting me document your morning with your very special fur-babies!
